Chery's Lepas brand debuts in Europe with electrified SUVs by late 2023

Chery is expanding its presence in Europe with the launch of Lepas, a new brand focused on electrified SUVs. The first watch will arrive in the UK by the third quarter of 2023, marking the company's latest push into the region.

Lepas has been developed specifically for the European market as a New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand. It joins Chery's existing lineup in Europe, which already includes Chery, Omoda, and Jaecoo. The brand will offer both all-electric and hybrid powertrains, depending on local demand.

The mid-size Lepas L8 will be the first model to go on sale. After the UK debut, the company plans to expand into continental Europe, with Germany among the likely countries in the coming months.

The arrival of Lepas strengthens Chery's position in Europe with a dedicated electrified SUV range. The brand's first model, the L8, will enter the UK market later this year, followed by further expansion across the continent.
