Gazelle Logistik debuts as Russia's first low-floor delivery van for couriers

The Gorky Automobile Plant has launched the Gazelle Logistik, a new delivery van built for courier operations. Designed as Russia's first low-floor cargo vehicle, it offers a flexible load space and improved driver comfort. The van has now entered a three-month trial in Nizhny Novgorod to test its performance in real-world conditions.

The Gazelle Logistik stands out with its adaptable cargo area. It includes foldable shelving and adjustable lashing rails—both horizontal and vertical—with movable rings to secure items of different shapes. A key feature is the extendable loading ramp and transport trolley, allowing a single person to handle large, bulky deliveries without assistance.

The van also improves workflow efficiency. A direct walkthrough connects the cab to the cargo area, reducing the need for repeated exits and entries. Inside the cab, drivers benefit from air conditioning, heated seats, and charging points for devices, ensuring comfort during long shifts.

With a payload capacity of up to 1,200 kg, the vehicle is suited for heavy-duty urban deliveries. The trial phase in Nizhny Novgorod will assess its practicality over three months before wider deployment.

The Gazelle Logistik aims to meet the growing demand for efficient last-mile delivery solutions. Its combination of ergonomic design, load flexibility, and driver-focused features sets it apart in the Russian market. The test period will determine its readiness for broader use by courier services.
