Kometa-120M hydrofoil relaunches Sochi-Gelendzhik route on 12 June
The high-speed hydrofoil Kometa-120M will return to service between Sochi and Gelendzhik on 12 June. The route aims to improve transport links and reduce travel time for visitors exploring the coastline. Passengers can board the vessel 30 minutes before departure. The hydrofoil will operate at speeds of up to 60 km/h, completing the journey in around 3.5 to 4 hours.
The Kometa-120M is designed for comfort. It features aircraft-style seats with vibration-absorbing materials and an air-conditioning system to minimise sea sickness. The vessel can carry up to 120 passengers at a time.
The service supports tourism by offering direct, transfer-free trips between the two cities. It also eases pressure on road and rail networks, providing an efficient alternative for travellers. The hydrofoil’s return strengthens connections between Sochi and Gelendzhik. Its speed and capacity are expected to benefit both tourists and local transport systems. The service begins on 12 June with regular departures planned.
