New AC summer special train connects Indore and Mumbai twice weekly

A new summer special train has begun operating between Indore and Mumbai. The fully air-conditioned service was introduced following a request from local MP Shankar Lalwani to the Union Railway Minister. Western Railway has urged passengers to book tickets in advance for this temporary route. The AC Superfast Special Train on Demand (TOD) runs between Indore Junction and Mumbai Central. It departs from Indore every Monday and Wednesday at 5 pm, while the return service leaves Mumbai every Sunday and Tuesday at 11.20 pm.

The train operates from May 4 to June 29, making a total of 17 trips in each direction. Stops include Ujjain, Ratlam, Dahod, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali before reaching its final destination. All coaches are Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) models, ensuring a comfortable journey. Passengers can check the timetable on the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or at station notice boards.

The service aims to meet increased travel demand during the summer months. Western Railway has encouraged travellers to use this option for smoother journeys. Bookings are now open for all scheduled departures.
