Othfresen bus routes rerouted for safety after Easter 2026

Bus routes in Othfresen will change permanently after the Easter holidays. The adjustment comes after concerns over safety on the current path. Three local services—851, 852, and 860—will now take a different route through the area.

From April 8, 2026, buses departing from the 'Othfresen, Schule' stop will no longer travel along Feldberg Street. Instead, they will follow Hasenbeeksweg and Bahnhofstraße. The decision follows a review highlighting a high accident risk on the previous route.

The change means some journeys will take slightly longer. As a result, many trips will leave two minutes earlier than before. Passengers have been advised to check updated timetables and plan accordingly. Local transport officials have stressed that the rerouting aims to improve road safety for everyone. The adjustment affects all three bus lines operating in the area.
