Simon Loos orders 75 more Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric trucks by 2025
Dutch transport firm Simon Loos has placed a second major order for Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric trucks. The company will add 75 more vehicles to its fleet, bringing its total to 210 e-trucks by the end of 2025. This move cements its position as the largest operator of electric lorries in the Netherlands and one of the biggest in Europe.
Simon Loos first introduced the eActros 300 in late 2021, becoming the first European company to adopt the model. The success of that initial fleet led to a follow-up order of 75 eActros 600 trucks in autumn 2024. Around two-thirds of these have already been delivered, with the rest arriving soon.
The newly ordered 75 eActros 600 trucks will mainly handle food distribution. Three-axle versions will support network transport, while others will specialise in beverage deliveries. By the end of 2024, the company expects to have roughly 150 eActros 600 trucks in operation, combining the first and second orders.
The decision to expand reflects the truck's strong performance in daily use. Simon Loos has consistently pushed forward with its electric strategy, relying on real-world results to guide further investment.
With 150 eActros 600 trucks set to operate by late 2024 and 210 by the following year, Simon Loos continues to lead in electric transport adoption. The company's experience helps shape wider industry confidence in zero-emission logistics. The latest order reinforces its commitment to scaling up sustainable freight operations.
