Skoda Kushaq facelift brings sharper styling and refined comfort—but skips key safety tech

The Skoda Kushaq has received a mid-life update, bringing subtle design tweaks and refined driving dynamics. While the SUV keeps its familiar shape, changes include sharper styling and improved interior comfort. However, some modern safety features remain missing from the package.

The facelifted Kushaq retains the same overall design but introduces a few key updates. The front now sports a new grille under Skoda's Modern Solid philosophy, along with connected LED daytime running lights. Slimmer headlamps, fog lamps, and tail lamps complete the refreshed look, while chunkier bumpers add a more robust stance. All variants now come with full LED lighting as standard.

Inside, comfort takes centre stage. The front seats are ventilated, and rear passengers benefit from a massaging function, dedicated AC vents, and charging ports. Space in the back remains adequate for two adults, though three may find it tight. On the road, the Kushaq impresses with precise steering and composed handling, even during sudden lane changes at higher speeds. The engines deliver smooth performance, reinforcing its reputation for strong driving dynamics. Ground clearance stays at 188 mm, slightly lower than some rivals. Despite these upgrades, the facelift misses out on several advanced features. There is no 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, or lane departure warning—options already available in more affordable competitors.

The Skoda Kushaq facelift builds on its predecessor with minor design refinements and enhanced comfort. Its driving dynamics remain a highlight, though the lack of certain safety technologies puts it behind some rivals. Buyers will need to weigh its strengths against the missing features before making a decision.
