Vladivostok tackles flooding with new Lugovaya Street drainage upgrades

Stormwater drainage construction has begun on Lugovaya Street in Vladivostok, targeting a section frequently plagued by flooding.

By the end of May, crews plan to install four new manhole shafts, lay roughly 100 meters of piping, and fit 50 meters of drainage channels. Most of the work will take place at night to minimize traffic disruptions, according to the Telegram channel Hardkorushka_25 (18+).

Local residents have reacted in the comments with remarks like "Finally, some action!", "They're building storm drains!" and "Does this mean no more puddle lakes?"
