Yenisei Highway bypass nears halfway mark with 2027 completion in sight

Construction on the Yenisei Highway bypass is well underway, with nearly half the earthworks now finished. The 4.5-kilometre route will connect Aviatorov Street to Sokolovskaya Street, providing a second major exit from Solnechny district. Officials confirm the project remains on track for completion by late 2027. Crews have made steady progress, with 48% of the earthworks already completed. A 3-kilometre 'road trough' has been fully constructed by PK DSU LLC, forming a key section of the future highway. The outline of the route is now clearly visible on the ground.

Seventeen pieces of heavy machinery are currently operating at the site. Workers are grading embankment slopes and compacting the subbase to prepare for pavement installation. Stormwater drainage systems, including manhole structures, are also being put in place.

The project carries a budget of 2 billion rubles. Despite the scale of work, the bypass is not expected to open until November 2027. Once finished, the new highway will improve traffic flow in and out of Solnechny district. The road will serve as a vital second arterial route, easing congestion along existing exits. Full completion is scheduled for the end of 2027, with no changes to the current timeline.
