A state-of-the-art laser guidance system has been installed along the Usharal–Dostyk national highway at the 13th kilometer in the Jetisu region, reports Liter.kz, citing KazAvtoZhol, Kazakhstan's national road agency.
The system's primary purpose is to clearly mark the roadway at night and help drivers navigate more effectively in low visibility. The laser installation visually highlights the direction of travel, which is particularly useful in poor weather or darkness, the agency noted.
Additionally, the equipment serves as an extra warning on hazardous road sections, increasing driver alertness. This helps reduce the risk of traffic accidents and improves overall road safety.
A similar laser guidance system for drivers was previously introduced on a highway in Atyrau region.
